Terms & Conditions

1. Definitions

• "MeiYu" refers to the business operating under that name, based at No. 76, Jiuru 1st Road, Sanmin District, Kaohsiung 807, Taiwan.
• "Service" refers to home visit makeup artistry services offered by MeiYu, including Dawn Walk Polish, Theatrical Performance Prep, and Family Reunion Coordination.
• "Client" refers to any individual or group that books or uses a MeiYu service.
• "Agreement" refers to these Terms & Conditions together with any booking confirmation provided.
• "Session" refers to a single home visit makeup appointment.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By submitting an enquiry, confirming a booking, or receiving services from MeiYu, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. These terms apply to all Services provided by MeiYu. Clients must be 18 years of age or older. For services involving younger family members, consent from a parent or legal guardian is required prior to the session.

3. Service Description

MeiYu provides professional makeup artistry services at client locations within Greater Kaohsiung, Taiwan. Services are as described on the MeiYu website and in any booking confirmation. Specific service inclusions, durations, and pricing are available on the Solutions page at meiyu.life/solutions.html.

Services are available by appointment only. MeiYu does not offer walk-in services. Geographic coverage is limited to Greater Kaohsiung City and surrounding areas confirmed at the time of booking.

4. Booking and Appointments

• Bookings are confirmed via written communication (email or messaging) from MeiYu.
• A booking is not confirmed until acknowledgement has been provided by MeiYu.
• Clients are asked to provide accurate occasion details and any relevant preferences or sensitivities at the time of booking.
• For Family Reunion Coordination, at least seven days' advance notice is preferred to allow for pre-visit planning.
• MeiYu reserves the right to decline bookings that fall outside its service area or scheduling capacity.

5. Payment Terms

• Payment is accepted by cash or bank transfer at the end of each session, unless otherwise agreed.
• For Family Reunion Coordination, a partial advance payment may be requested to secure the booking. This will be specified in the booking confirmation.
• All prices are quoted in New Taiwan Dollars (NT$) and are inclusive of travel within Greater Kaohsiung.
• MeiYu reserves the right to update pricing with reasonable notice.

6. Cancellations and Rescheduling

• Cancellations made more than 48 hours before a scheduled session will not incur a cancellation fee.
• Cancellations within 48 hours may be subject to a partial charge to cover preparation costs, at MeiYu's discretion.
• For Family Reunion Coordination, cancellations within 72 hours may result in partial retention of any advance payment made.
• MeiYu will make reasonable efforts to reschedule in the event of unforeseen circumstances on either side.

7. Client Responsibilities

• Clients are responsible for disclosing any known skin sensitivities, allergies, or medical conditions relevant to makeup application prior to or at the start of the session.
• Clients should ensure a suitable, reasonably lit area is available for the session.
• Clients agree to treat MeiYu artists with respect and provide a safe environment during the home visit.
• MeiYu cannot be held responsible for adverse reactions arising from undisclosed sensitivities.

8. Intellectual Property

All content on the MeiYu website, including text, images, and design, is the property of MeiYu or its licensors. Clients may not reproduce or use MeiYu's content for commercial purposes without written permission.

MeiYu does not photograph clients or sessions without explicit consent. Any images shared by the client featuring MeiYu's work may be referenced by MeiYu with the client's permission.

9. Disclaimers

MeiYu provides services with reasonable care and professional skill. However, we do not make specific promises regarding outcomes, as individual results vary based on skin type, environment, and other factors. Services are provided "as offered" based on the description at the time of booking.

10. Limitation of Liability

MeiYu's liability to any client is limited to the amount paid for the specific session in question. MeiYu will not be liable for indirect, consequential, or special damages arising from the provision or use of its services. Nothing in these terms limits liability for gross negligence or wilful misconduct.

11. Termination

Either party may cancel a scheduled session in accordance with the cancellation terms in Section 6. MeiYu reserves the right to decline future bookings from clients who have behaved in a manner inconsistent with a safe and respectful working environment.

12. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of China (Taiwan). Any disputes arising from these terms or services will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Kaohsiung City, Taiwan. MeiYu encourages informal resolution of any concerns in the first instance by contacting us directly.

13. Changes to Terms

MeiYu may update these Terms & Conditions at any time. The updated version will be posted on our website with a revised "Last Updated" date. Continued use of MeiYu's services following any update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. For significant changes, we will make reasonable efforts to notify existing clients.
