How We Think About Makeup
Each of MeiYu's services began as an answer to a specific need that we kept encountering. Clients preparing for dawn activities needed something fundamentally different from clients stepping onto a stage. Both needed something different from a family planning reunion portraits where five people need to look coordinated without looking identical.
Rather than offering a single menu of looks in varying price bands, we built each service around the occasion it serves. This shapes everything โ product selection, session length, advance planning, and how the look is constructed and finished.
The result is work that holds up in the environment where it will actually be seen, whether that is dappled morning light, stage spotlights, or a family portrait setup.
Service 01
Dawn Walk Polish
A quick, weather-appropriate application for early morning walks, sunrise yoga, or outdoor meditation groups. The artist uses breathable, natural-finish products that feel comfortable during physical activity. The goal is a look that enhances without interfering โ something that photographs well in morning light and feels like nothing is there during movement.

Service 02
Theatrical Performance Prep
A bold, projection-ready application for stage performances, musical theater, or dance recitals. The artist understands stage lighting and audience distance, applying stronger colours and defined features that read clearly from seats. Designed to look intentional and powerful under performance lighting conditions while remaining comfortable to wear through a full rehearsal or show.

Family Reunion Coordination
A group service for family reunions where multiple family members want coordinated but individual looks for group photography and celebration. The artist manages a schedule of back-to-back applications, maintaining a cohesive colour palette across the group while respecting each person's features and preferences. Includes advance planning with photo references and day-of sequential applications.
