I booked the Family Reunion Coordination for our Lunar New Year gathering – five of us, ranging from my grandmother to my teenage daughter. Mei-Ling planned everything in advance and the day went smoothly without anyone feeling rushed. The photos looked cohesive but everyone still looked like themselves. That's hard to achieve.

I perform in a small theater group and have used Theatrical Performance Prep three times now. The first time, Yu-Hsin asked thoughtful questions about the lighting setup that I hadn't considered. I joined a morning qigong group that does sunrise sessions at the park. I tried Dawn Walk Polish before a session where we were being filmed for a community video. What I most appreciated was that Ting-Yi asked questions before doing anything. She didn't assume. For the family coordination, she had us send photos beforehand and came with specific product choices already prepared. That kind of preparation showed. The whole day felt calm.

The Challenge
A family of four generations wanted portrait photos for the Lunar New Year but had never done coordinated makeup for a group. Ages ranged from 14 to 78. Each person had different comfort levels with makeup.
The Approach
Advance consultation identified a warm, neutral palette suited to all skin tones in the family. Scheduling was planned so each person finished with time to rest before photos. Products were calibrated per person – minimal for the youngest, more structured for the elders who preferred it.
The Outcome
The family reported that the morning itself was the calmest part of the day. Photos showed clearly coordinated looks without anyone appearing overdone. The client has since booked for a second family occasion.
The Challenge
A dance student preparing for her first major recital wanted makeup that would work under intense stage lighting without looking garish up close. She was nervous about looking unfamiliar to herself.
The Approach
The session began with a conversation about the lighting rig and audience seating configuration. The application was built in stages with progress checks in natural light and under a strong lamp to simulate stage conditions. The student saw the before-and-after effect herself.
The Outcome
The student performed comfortably and her parents said she was visually distinct from across the hall while still recognisable. The look held through a ninety-minute performance. She has since returned for two additional recital sessions.
